Patrick Prézeau Stephenson is a scientist, author, and mentor with over 15 years of experience in regulatory science.
I am passionate about creating impactful strategies that drive compliance, innovation, and sustainability. My career has spanned diverse roles, from serving as a Senior Scientific Evaluator for Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) to providing expert financial guidance as a Financial Security Advisor with leading Canadian firms.
Patrick Prézeau Stephenson is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience combining scientific expertise and regulatory skills. His career has focused on developing and overseeing comprehensive research plans and regulatory evaluations. During his tenure at the PMRA, he distinguished himself as a Senior Scientific Evaluator, leading critical regulatory reviews and introducing innovative decision-making approaches. He has acquired key knowledge and skills with all types of pesticides including Herbicides, Fungicides, Insecticides, Antimicrobials, biopesticides, and IPM. In 2009 he was elected to the scientist Union, The Professional Institute of the Public Service SP Group as an Executive where he served as Secretary representing over 2600 scientists in Ottawa.
Since 2014, he has been a Senior Regulatory Consultant at an Ottawa-based consulting firm, successfully navigating the complex regulations of the crop protection industry. Patrick has led key projects, including the NAFTA PCT Project and the development of the EcoPheno software. His international leadership and strategic thinking have consistently delivered impactful results.
Honored with several academic and business awards, his dedication to excellence is also evident in his community leadership roles.
As a published author of three books and recipient of numerous awards, I bring a proven track record of excellence and dedication to every project. Beyond my professional pursuits, I am honored to give back to my community as the Vice President of FASLC, and member of the Foundation STOinternational where I actively mentor, fundraise, and sponsor initiatives that inspire future generations.
